Eric is a founding member of Hohmann, Taube & Summers. Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1957, Eric moved to Texas in 1980. After practicing law in Houston for several years, Eric moved to Austin in 1986. Eric's practice focuses on bankruptcy and creditor's rights, business litigation, banking, and securities litigation. He was recognized in Texas Monthly Magazine's "Super Lawyers" edition as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in the State of Texas in 2007 and 2009, and as one of the Top 50 Central & West Texas Region Super Lawyers in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.  Eric was named to Best Lawyers in Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights since 1999, in Commercial Litigation since 2006, and in Bet-The Company Litigation for 2010, and recognized as a Top Litigation Commercial Lawyer for 2006 and 2008 by The American Lawyer.   In 2003, the Austin Business Journal named Eric as one of the Best Civil Litigators in its "Best of the Bar" edition.  Eric has an AV-Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting overall expertise, experience, integrity and professional excellence.  Eric has been recognized by Corporate Counsel® in its selection of Top Lawyers in Bankruptcy & Creditor-Debtor Rights Law for 2010.
